D.E.A.R.(Developing English Ability and Research) 연구소는 ‘교육은 사람과 사람이 만나 그 마음을 서로 주고받을 수 있을 때 비로소 시작된다.’는 교육 이념 아래 한 아이도 뒤처지는 아이가 없는, 모두가 행복해지는 교육을 실천하고자 노력하는 영어 교육 전문 컨설팅 기관입니다.
10여 년 동안 아이들마다의 학습 스타일과 저 마다 특성과 자질을 고려하여 학습자에게 맞는 체계적인 영어 교육 플랜을 세워주고 이를 적절하게 활용할 수 있도록 교육 환경을 제공하고 이를 위한 다양한 교재 개발은 물론 교사와 학부모들을 위한 교육도 병행해 왔습니다.
연구소장님이신 서희정선생님은 University of Sydney에서 영어 교육학 석사 과정을 마치고 대원 외국어 고등학교 TOEFL 강사, 강릉대학교 영어 영문과 및 평생교육원 영어과 교수를 역임했습니다. 한겨레 신문 <함께 하는 교육>과 조선일보 <맛있는 공부>에 초등학생을 위한 영어 일기 쓰기를 게재하였으며, EBS 영어 교육 전문 채널 ‘맘스타임’ 초청 특강을 하였습니다. 현재는 자녀들을 위한 영어 독서 지도법 및 영어 교육법을 강의하고 있습니다. 저서로는 <영어야 돌아와, 일기가 기다려!> <영어야 울지마, 일기가 있어!>, <소녀들을 위한 영어일기>가 있습니다. |
